Success in the music business, or any other profession does not develop overnight!  There has to be an enormous amount of practice, performance, patience, persistence, and prayer.  The career that Eric has built is certainly no different.  Speaking of that, what is success?  For him, success is simply being content with where you are and what you’ve accomplished!  Yes, you can always continue to achieve more, but when will it be enough?

Eric’s goals for his career in music go back many years, to when they were just really big, unreachable dreams.  He began to practice the saxophone for the school band, and then in the next few years, Eric eventually picked up the drums, piano, bass, guitar, and even dabbled with the steel guitar on his own.  Before he could even drive, his parents were taking him to the shows he was performing in.  He then began working for the radio station, and had the opportunity to be around another side to the music business.  Opportunities came his way to work concerts with major name recording artists on behalf of the station.  Eric soon moved to Nashville, TN to attend Belmont University, where he graduated with a B.M. degree in Commercial Music, and an emphasis in Music Business.

The legendary Ryman Auditorium was the home of his first job in Nashville, working in the concessions
department three days after moving to Nashville.  While spending hours and hours there working, he was able to see yet another side of the business…the "behind the scenes" of the productions.  From the days of the Ryman, up through today, there were people that he met there, that led him to his next job.  That same process took place several times, and has led Eric to the awesome place he is today.

Eric was privileged to work with Sony Music Nashville in the earlier days of his career.  He worked in the creative department, and was there through the process of making the Dixie Chicks’ album, “Fly.”  From there, Eric was brought on staff in the promotions department at AristoMedia.  There, he worked with artists such as Keith Urban, Craig Morgan, The Bellamy Brothers, Chris Cagle, and a list of others.  In 2003, Eric began working full time with Denver & The Mile High Orchestra.

Since the formation of Denver & The Mile High Orchestra (DMHO) in 1999, Eric has been an integral part of the group.  For the first year, playing baritone sax was his only role with DMHO.  When he sensed a “serious” need for someone to take care of details on the road, he eagerly stepped up to the plate and offered to do the job.  Since then, Eric is the only tour manager the band has ever had.  In 2002, Eric began to book some of their shows, and not long after that, he also became the full time booking agent.  Premiere Artists Group was then f
ormed as the official booking agency for DMHO, and for other artists as well.  The production side of the business has always been fascinating to Eric as well.  As the shows began to grow, and the production needs for the band elevated, he found himself also filling the role of the production manager.  As the career of DMHO continued to gain momentum, and the demands on the road became more strenuous, he knew that something would have to soon give.  In October of 2005, after much prayerful consideration, he felt led to give up his position “in the show” to focus more on the “behind the scenes” of the show.  Tour managing and production managing is where his passion truly lies, and that is where he feels that he can serve Denver and the guys the most.  “I love the stage, but I’d rather be behind the scenes, to make sure the show goes down without a hitch!  When you come out to a show, make sure you stop by and say hi!”

The future for not only Eric, but for DMHO looks brighter than ever.  Having some new projects just
recently released, and some new ones in the wings, it does not appear to be slowing down anytime soon.

Eric is one of only three original members that currently remain in the group, dating back to 1999. To see some of his accomplishments with DMHO, what they have done, and where they have been...Click Here.
